Nicky joined Carlisle Golf Club at the age of 12 and has been part of the club for over two decades. He represented both Carlisle and Cumbria at junior and senior level, showcasing his commitment to the game from an early age.

After studying at the Lee Westwood Golf School, where he gained a BTEC in Sports Performance, Nicky earned a scholarship to the United States in 2012 to compete on Florida’s mini-tours. He turned professional in 2015, spending two seasons on the PGA EuroPro Tour before completing his PGA degree at the University of Birmingham, graduating in the top 10% of his year group.

Now a SafeGolf accredited PGA Coach, Nicky has built one of the strongest coaching programmes in the region. He has grown junior membership from fewer than ten to over ninety through structured coaching, holiday camps, and school partnerships, strengthening the club’s link with the Golf Foundation.

Nicky has also been instrumental in developing ladies’ golf, leading beginner and progression programmes that have introduced more than twenty new lady members. His welcoming and professional approach helps golfers of all abilities enjoy and improve their game.

Alongside his coaching, Nicky continues to compete successfully across the North East & North West PGA circuit, balancing his passion for playing and teaching the game.
